Online, 20-21 June, 2024 – Nologin/NOW in the Copernicus Marine Training Workshop #MarineData4Coastal
Álvaro de Pascual Collar and Stefania Ciliberti participate as trainers in the training workshops that Copernicus Marine Service offers for promoting the usage of marine data for downstream applications and services. As a contribution to the courses, they present practical cases using QGIS, Python and R..
On June 20th and 21st, 2024, the workshop "Marine Data 4 Coastal Monitoring" will be held online: during the event, trainers will discuss and show how to use Copernicus products (both models and observations) applied to coastal management and monitoring.
Two practical training sessions will be presented:
-
The first exercise will demonstrate how to assess storm surges in the Bay of Bengal through the combined application of Copernicus data and Python and R languages.
-
The second tutorial will be applied to discuss coral bleaching events in the East Africa, along the Kenya-Tanzania coastline, and the eutrophication and harmful algal bloom events in the Western Mediterranean, with focus on the Ebro Delta.
