NOW Systems presents Clever Tool in Valencia

The innovation tool, funded by the ARSINOE Project, was presented at the “Innovation initiatives to decarbonize the Mediterranean” conference, organizated by Fundación Valenciaport.

Valencia, 11 February, 2025 – During the conference “Innovation initiatives to decarbonize the Mediterranean”, organized by Fundación Valenciaport, José María García-Valdecasas presented Clever Tool on behalf of NOW Systems. The meeting brought together more than 50 professionals and experts from the port community, who shared projects and proposals focused on energy transition and the fight against climate change.

NOW System is working on the development of Clever Tool, an innovation developed within the ARSINOE project that addresses a need of the Valencia Port Authority. Its main objective is to analyze and correlate climate phenomena with their real effects on port infrastructures and operations, providing an accurate assessment of the present and future impacts of climate change on this sector.

The ARSINOE project, funded by the European Union, seeks to boost climate resilience in various regions through innovative solutions and systemic strategies.

Clever Tool is an advanced comprehensive monitoring system that collects and analyzes historical, current and forecast weather data. Among the variables considered are currents, wind speed and direction, water and air temperature, as well as precipitation. This tool not only records these parameters, but also assesses their impact on port operations and infrastructure maintenance, allowing to detect possible changes in climate vulnerability and to make accurate projections in different future scenarios.
