NOW at the Digital Ocean Forum 2024 High-Level Event under the auspice of the Belgian presidency of the Council of the EU

Brussels & Online - 13 June, 2024 – The Digital Ocean Forum 2024 (DOF 2024) is the occasion to unveil the prototype of the European Digital Twin of the Ocean (EU DTO)and to showcase what the EU DTO, as a Commission public service, can do for the sustainable development of our blue economies and the management of ocean resources, contributing to the implementation of the Green Deal and the UN Decade of Science for Sustainable Development. It will bring together experts, stakeholders, policymakers and interested citizens in the co-design and co-creation of the EU DTO.

The BIODIVER-COAST service on monitoring water quality for oyster aquaculture in the Galway Bay (codeveloped by Marine Institute and NOW Systems) will be showcased in the event as one of the Current Digital Twins developments. To this aim, Tomasz Dabrowski (Irish Marine Institute) will give a TED-like talk focused on the service, while Marcos Sotillo (NOW) will make in a dedicated booth a live demonstration of the NAUI application, implemented as user interface of the BIODIVER-COAST Service
