Paris, 18-22 November 2024 – The overarching theme of OP’24 is “Advancing ocean prediction science for societal benefit”. It invites ocean and atmospheric scientists, observation specialists, industry representatives, service providers and users of ocean data & products from across the international operational oceanography community to engage in science sessions, exhibitions and discussions to explore and define the direction of operational oceanography.
From 18 to 22 November, NOW Systems will participate to OceanPredict’24 with contributions on novelties in regional to coastal forecasting systems and product quality. Stefania Ciliberti and Marcos Sotillo attend the meeting. Details to the contributions:
18 November:
- Evolution of the IBI-MFC wave service component: delivery of new enhanced near-real-time wave forecasts, consistent with multi-year reanalysis wave products.
- IBI: A high-resolution regional ocean prediction system of the Copernicus Marine Service targeting the coastal users over the North-East Atlantic.
20 November:
- IBIRYS: a Regional High-Resolution Reanalysis (physical and biogeochemical) of the last 30 years (1993-2023) over the European Northeast Shelf.
21 November:
- Assessing Operational Regional to Coastal Ocean Predictions in the framework of the Copernicus Marine and Coastal Services.
- High resolution coastal ocean model of Galway Bay, Ireland, supporting oyster aquaculture and biodiversity restoration. Project BIODIVER-COAST.
- A high-resolution hydrodynamic forecasting system for the enhanced management of Fangar Bay (Ebro Delta, NW Mediterranean): the e3HOPE service. Project e-3HOPE.
